WIP Wednesday

I am linking up with WIP Wednesday for the first time today.  I have a few projects on the go at the moment, not all of which I have shared here.

First up - granny squares quilt.  I have finished the free-motion quilting on this one (more pictures here), and am now stitching in the ditch around all of the granny squares.  Because this quilt is quite large, and my sewing machine is quite small, and it involves a lot of turning, it is rather a tedious process.  I have done 6 out of the 25 granny squares I need to do and plan to keep doing a couple each night after work until they are all done.

Next - giant star quilt.  This quilt top is finished (I was tempted to add a border but have decided it is big enough as is).  Now I need to put the backing together, baste it, and work out how I am going to quilt it.  Any suggestions on quilting gratefully received.

Finally, my equilateral triangle quilt.  I cut lots more triangles, and re-jigged the layout, so there are a lot more solid triangles than in the picture below.  I now have a big pile of triangles all organised into rows, and I have even made a tester row to make sure everything will fit together and work out how to do the ends of the rows (I am going to use the ends of the fabric from making my triangles so I have straight edges rather than trying to straighten the quilt up at the end by trimming all around it).  I haven't however, started piecing any of the rows.  That pile of triangles is looking quite daunting...

That granny square quilt is great! You are so close to finishing that one. Love the triangles you have. I have a pile of them myself in a drawer, your project is making me want to pull them out. Have a great quilting week!
