First of all, I want to say that
Anne @ Play Crafts and I are both amazed at the variety of entries and the different ways you all tackled Marsala. Anne has done an amazing job and has already commented on all the entries. I have limited time at the moment and want to really read everyone's entry properly so I will be taking my time about visiting, but please know that I will be checking out and commenting on each entry.
A quick note about judging. The judging process is truly a subjective one. Everyone has different tastes and favorites. Even if you didn’t win, that doesn’t mean your work is somehow lesser than the winners. It just means that something in a particular quilt spoke to that particular judge. If we all liked the same things, we’d all make the same quilts, and that’d be incredibly dull. We know our judges found the decision making process really challenging and were generally very impressed with the quality of entries. So please keep that in mind if you didn’t win!
We think you’re awesome for entering!
So without further ado, here are our winners!

Yay - that is at least 3 kiwis among the winners that I can see. Well done everyone who entered.
Thanks for hosting this again, it definitely stretched my boundaries and I have a lovely quilt out of it.
What a wonderful challenge - loved trying something that wasn't my norm. Congrats to all the winners and to everyone else too - really appreciated seeing all the lovelies!
Thanks for hosting again and a big congratulations to all the participants and winners! Hope to see you next year...
Congrats to the winners & thank you to the hosts & sponsors!
I am completely flabbergasted. I was excited to be able to participate and really put a lot of thought into my design. I even got it posted pretty late... But I entered and was proud of my work. I NEVER imagined my quilt would be chosen. I am humbled and incredibly honored to have garnered the quilts division. Every one of the quilts entered were beautiful and inspiring.
I worked really late yesterday (ok.....crazy late), till 3am in the morning. As a way to relax myself, I love to stalk Instagram, Flickr, blogs, anything quilts. I realized it was the day of the announcement so I thought I'd check it out and see who won. I could not believe my eyes when low and behold .....there was my quilt. I woke my husband up. He wasn't quite as enthusiastic at that time of night as I was.... I was so blown away, I did what any other good quilt would do. I texted my dearest friend and amazing quilter, Fairly Merry to share in my excitement. Being an amazingly supportive friend- she responded immediately (do any of us sleep?) with congratulations. ( her entry in the contest is beautiful and she used an incredible fabric selection....). I could hardly get to sleep.
So thank you for the honor of being chosen. I am humbled and thrilled! And still can't believe it!
Thanks, Shelley-aka Brrokquilt
Ok- so I'm still kind of so excited I forgot the most important part- thank you Adrianne and Anne for hosting the Pantone Challenge.! Thank you to all the judges and vendors, too.
Shelley- aka. Brookquilt
Reading Shelley's comments above is just delightful. Congratulations to all the winners. It was a fun event, so thank you Adrianne and Anne for organizing it. I'm now off to visit the entries I haven't visited yet.
It's great to see such well designed and made quilts all together in one page. Congratulations to the winners.
Thank you so much for hosting the challenge - so much fun to try something new. I can't wait for next year! I wonder what the colour will be?!!!!
