This weekend I had a surprising amount of fun making these blocks for Elisabeth (who blogs at Woozy Quilts), as part of a small bee we are part of.
She asked for traditional blocks with modern fabrics, in a colour scheme of mustard yellows, happy greens, and low volume fabrics.
Fussy cutting was optional but strongly encouraged.
I'm now tempted to make a sampler quilt for myself!
I found the patterns for all of these blocks at the Quilter's Cache website - in the order in which they appear in this post, they are Antique Tile, Bachelor's Puzzle, Ohio Star, Castle in the Air and Cross and Crown.
I can't wait to see the other blocks that are made for Elisabeth, and the quilt that she ultimately makes. Technically, this is someone else's WIP now, but I'm going to link up with Lee at Freshly Pieced anyway!

You certainly got the 'happy green' down pat! All these blocks are delightful-very hard to even pick a favourite!
They are happy greens for sure - what an awesome colour combo ... love the touches of mustard :)
This is the most cheerful colour scheme. I love your blocks, they are beautiful.
I want to come and play in your stash. Love those fabrics, and an unusual request for colors, but they play wonderfully together.
I love #1 #3 #4 #5 - I bet they'll all look nice together :)
I think you did a wonderful job sewing to her requirements and I absolutely love your fabric choices!! Beautiful job.
Happy sewing ~ Tracy
