I got started on my scrappy trip along quilt - I'm doing an all-over cross-hatch grid.
This is the backing fabric - it's from Spotlight, but is designed by Australian fabric designers Prints Charming. I think its perfect for this very bright and colourful quilt. Finishing off this quilt will be my February goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes.
I've also been working on this baby quilt for a colleague's baby. So far I've just quilted a crosshatch in the beige squares, but I think I'll add in stitch-in-the-ditch quilting along all the seams.
My mission for this weekend will be to find a good binding fabric - I've been right through my stash and nothing seems quite right.
What are you working on this week?

They all look gorgeous! And I love that Spotlight fabric!?!?
Do you say Happy Waitangi Day?
Love your new blog header!! Is it a picture of the scrappy trip-along quilt as well? You have a great eye for colours and prints!! Love the backing fabric too!
This week I’m working on my Camelot blocks, some cushion covers and a mystery quilt.
I agree, you have a great eye for colors and prints! I love both of the quilts you are working on. Good luck with the binding!!
I love those 2! So pretty! That backing is perfect! I am waiting for inspiration to hit with my scrappy trip along!
By the look of it, your Spotlight will have the perfect fabric for binding. Both quilts are looking great! I don't seem to have time at the moment to do much sewing at all! :-((
With those colors, you could use a strip binding ?
(like I did with this quilt : http://www.flickr.com/photos/65239842@N07/8141906697/in/set-72157627202520120)
You have the same print in the quilt.

That's some serious eye-candy! :) I really like the mix of colors and prints in both quilts. The backing you're using for your scrappy trip-along is just fantastically bright and fun. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
