A roll of batting, of course.
15 metres (16.5 yards) of 100" wide cotton batting. I found this on TradeMe (New Zealand's answer to eBay) and it worked out cheaper even than buying it on sale at Spotlight. I wonder how long it will last...
Have you ever taken the plunge and bought a whole roll of batting (or even a whole bolt of your favourite fabric)?

What treasure!
I have indeed bought 4 bolts of fabric.:)
Good for you.
There's probably at least 5 quilts in this roll! Maybe I need to explore the roll idea further?
That's a great idea! I've never even considered it... Food for thought!
I got a 30 m roll of bamboo wadding about 2 years ago - so cheap from a longarm quilter who imports it into Australia. Storing it was a pain but I am slowly making my way through it. Well done - love an ebay bargain!
That is a lot of batting!
Great idea - I would never have thought to look on trade me for batting! Love those curious cats :-)
Yep, I buy rolls of bamboo batting - I'm on my second :o) I love having it on hand - it saves so much pre-planning too :o)
I haven't committed to a whole bolt of batting although I probably should consider it. I have bought a whole bolt of fabric before; but only when it's been on sale before, wouldn't dream of it otherwise. Thanks for sharing!
I've bought bolts of fusible fleece and fusible woven interfacing before but the most batting I've bought at once was 10 yards. That's not to say that it won't happen in the future though :)
Good for you! I keep meaning to buy a bolt of Kona Snow, and just haven't gotten around to it yet. I use it so often I just about can't keep it in my stash.
I bought a 40 yard roll of batting a little over a year ago, and I absolutely love it. I just cut off the size of piece I need and I'm off the the races. Batting is expensive in Canada, so I got it on a visit to the States when it happened to be on sale at Joann's. 40 yards cost me the same as what 14.5 metres would. Unbelievable!
