Quilting Gallery Blog Hop Giveaway

UPDATE - GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

Quilting Gallery Logo

So, a few weeks ago I registered my blog with Quilting Gallery.  If you haven't come across the site before, there is a Quilting Bloggers' Directory, weekly contests, regular block parties and quilt-alongs, and lots more.  This week is the website's fifth birthday and they are hosting a blog hop with giveaways.  Click on the button below to find a whole bunch more to enter if you are so inclined.

  Blog Hop Party with Give-Aways

If you have found your way here from Quilting Gallery - welcome!  Please feel free to take a look around my blog - I have been quite busy sewing the last few months and there are even a couple of tutorials if you're interested.  To regular readers - welcome back!

Here are a couple of mosaics showing my recent(ish) projects - this one is the wrap up for October:

And this one is the wrap up for November:

Onto my giveaway.  Up for grabs is a fat quarter of each of the DS Quilts fabrics pictured below.  The whole DS Quilts thing doesn't seem to have really caught on here in New Zealand, but I understand that these fabrics can be hard to come by in other countries.

To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment on this post.  I would love to know what you like to see  (or would like to see more of) on quilting blogs.  Followers (new and existing) get a second entry - just leave me a second comment letting me know that you follow.  I'm very happy to ship internationally, but you probably won't get the fabric before Christmas because parcels move a little slower at this time of year.

This giveaway is open to everyone, but if I can't contact you, you can't win!  If you are a no-reply blogger, please make sure you leave your email address in the comment.

The giveaway will stay open until around 10 am Sunday 16 December (New Zealand Daylight Savings Time), and I will use the random number generator at random.org to pick a winner then.

Good luck everyone!

UPDATE - GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED.

  1. What I'd like to see more of on quilting blogs is people's mistakes. Seems a bit strange, but I actually like seeing where people have gone wrong and what they have done to correct it (or even if they have given up because it was too hard), because it helps me learn as well.

  2. I follow via Blogger dashboard.

  3. I have to say the mistakes that Anna mentioned are a good idea, but who really likes to show their slip-ups? I certainly don't, but am always glad when I manage to hide them. What I like to see on blogs are tutorials tbh, but that's probably because I'm a beginner when it comes to actual quilting so I'm usually browsing the net for help lol. Thanks for this giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  115. I think I am agreeing with many others here when I say I love seeing all the beautiful things people make and how they make it. But it would also be nice to see things that don't always turn out perfect, so perhaps where people go wrong and how they fix it or if they abandon altogether!

  130. Quilting mistakes. You don't often get to see mistakes that could happen. It just seems that nobody makes mistakes except beginners. Nobody likes to claim that they made a misake but it does happen and you do need to fix it. That's how we all learn. Thank you for the awesome giveway. Really nice looking fat quartes to win. Happy Holidays and am so glad that you took the time out to join in the Party.

    Thanks for joining the giveaway

  138. When I look through blog posts on Google Reader, I always click on (and go to read) posts with new tutorials, making small quilted gift items, and posts that tell more about the locale of the blogger. I consider myself pretty ignorant about New Zealand, and that is not good! I would love to read about your country -- not just the quilting, but holiday customs, special traditional recipes, and the culture.
