I've been keeping up with my block a day challenge so far. I was sick for most of the week so there were a couple of days which were a struggle (and these blocks were really the only sewing I did all week, apart from a bit of hand quilting on the sofa!).

Top row: 7 July - Hand quilted, 8 July - I love yellow, 9 July - Here's one I prepared earlier (started on Sunday but finished on Wednesday), 10 July - Improv lettering inspired by Chawne.
Bottom row: 11 July - My quilt just needed a lovely Melody Miller lady. Hand quilted, wonkily. 12 July - Testing out an idea, 13 July - Finally got some FMQ in.
Here is a pile of all the blocks I've made so far. I was going to lay them all out but I ran out of time! Next weekend will be quieter so hopefully I'll be able to show you 20 finished blocks next Monday.
Superb!!! I am loving these, and think it's so fun to see the different ideas you're trying out. :D
ReplyDeleteAdrianne - this is one of the most fun and inspiring series I've seen - I love your blocks - so unique and well done!
ReplyDeleteHmm...let's try that again.
ReplyDeletePersistence is impressive. Despite you feeling not so good, these are really fun! I hope you're feeling better...
I cringe at the thought of you adding these blocks together quilt as you go... not my favourite technique obviously. Glad to see you are doing a mixture of quilting techniques - a great way to try things out small scale.
ReplyDeleteI really love block 7 - crisp white with bright hand stitching. Looks great, and way to keep going even when you were under the weather. That's some dedication!
ReplyDeleteI am really loving watching these each day on Instagram
