WIP Wednesday

I'm still working on my Garden for Birds Quilt.  It has changed a bit from the original plan - that's the fun thing about a quilt like this.  Here's where I'm up to at the moment.

Garden for Birds quilt still in progress

I'm hoping to get this quilt top finished up this week.  Then I'll have to think about the quilting.  On one hand I think something super simple since there's already so much going on would be good - on the other hand I think different FMQ designs to complement the different blocks could be cool too.  I guess we'll see what kind of mood I'm in when I come to quilt this one!

  4. I really like this. The style reminds me of an Anna Maria Horner class I took at QuiltCon. She talked about taking different pieces of things and putting them together as a cohesive whole.

  5. Its’ so fun to watch this quilt growing.

(I hope you don’t mind me saying, but I think the fabric with cups and mugs takes away the beauty of the birds block. Maybe you could change it for a little less loud fabric ? The rest is breathtaking! :-)

  6. It's looking amazing, an incredible amount of detail for the baby to interact with as she grows. I think different FMQ to complement the blocks would be stunning, another layer for the baby to discover.
